    Question Dropdown list truncating

    Hello,
We have a spreadsheet using dropdown list choices. This works perfectly on Desktop but on mobile we are getting the choices truncated (shortened) so it is very hard to make a choice.

Example: "What is your favorite colour" - shows in mobile as "What is ..."

I have tried everything to stop this and cannot work it out. It is same both on Android and IOS.

Please see screenshot for real example..

    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Re: Dropdown list truncating

    Hello, no problem, apologies.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet. This shows the same issue on Tablets as the main Spreadsheet. Latest Excel for Tablet (Free version) tried on Android and IOS.

Works as expected on Excel Desktop. I have tried fixed width columns, text to columns, pretty much anything I can think of.

I am not sure if this is just the way Excel on Mobile works or I am doing something wrong.

    Appreciate any help.

For anyone else with this issue: I just spoke to Microsoft Representative and they confirmed the problem with Excel for Mobile devices, it appears it is a bug.

A very annoying bug to say the least. Works in Office Online, just not excel for mobile app.

Most of our Staff use this spreadsheet offline so its hurting us.

    Least I know now

Link to Bug/Issue is in the excel user voice.
