    Addding numbers in single cell

    Hi,

Within a single cell I have a list of numbers, like this:

    5
    26
    64
    105

I've added them in new lines by using ALT + ENTER

Within another cell I'd like to show the sum of all these numbers, if this possible please?

The number of numbers varies as does the length of the number, i.e. it could be single, tens or hundreds.

    Welcome to the forum.

This is NOT good practice. Excel expects numbers to be in separate cells - for what reason are you doing it this way?

Yeah I know - you're right, formatting mainly. I have a row which represents a day. In that day you could undertake x number of actvities each activities has a different value.

Don’t do this for aesthetic reasons. You can hide grid lines and add borders to give that effect - you are creating a world of pain for yourself.
