COUNTIF Help

Hi All,

I am having trouble trying to count two numbers in more cell, the numbers are as follows 7849/2564, divided by a forwards slash. these number will be in other cells and I need a total of each number in the selected cells .. hope that makes sense ..

Counting the numbers individually isn't an issue but I cant seem to find anything that resolves the issue..

Current formula
=COUNTIFS($B$7:$D$19,N10)+COUNTIF($H$7:$K$19,N10)

Any ideas

Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Do you want a formula that counts how many times 7849 is in $B$7:$D$19 and $H$7:$K$19 as well as a formula that counts how many times 2564 is in those same ranges and then have the answer put into one cell separated by a "/" ?

I just need to count how many times each number is in the range of cells ..

EXAMPLE

CELLS A1 , A2 , A3 , A4 , A5, A6, A7, A8, A9 , A10 will have one of the following numbers in each cell, I do have about 120 individual numbers to count over a number in a number of cells , 7254, 7487 , 7665, 7965, some of these numbers will be in numerous cells and I need to count a total of each number , so 7665 x 3 7254 x 2 7665 x 6 etc .

In some of the cells there may be two numbers 7254/7487 and I need these adding to the count if the same number is found in other cells.

However if there are two numbers in a cell , these numbers only count as 0.5 , I.E. 7254 will be x 2.5 and 7487 will be x 1.5
