    Avoid typing a long formula

    Hi everyone,

I need to type the same formula below every time for a lot of cells. The formula is a bit long. Can I put this formula into a cell and then use this cell as a reference to this formula?

    Hey billj,

There is a way to do it.
Create a name for this formula by clicking on "Name Manager" on Formula Tab.
Press New and give a name....Put this formula in formula bar... OK
Now you have a name for your formula.
    TA...

I still have a problem. If I create a named range and use it for reference, then this named range cannot be applied to other sheets. Is there a universal way?

    Hi billj,

Good to hear that you found my suggestion useful.
Regarding the issue you are talking about....Name Ranges have a defined scope... Name Ranges can be defined for A WORKSHEET and A WORKBOOK.
Please look at the scope of name range you have created. It should say.... Worksheet. That's the reason it is not accessible on other worksheets.
Create a new name range with scope of workbook.
