    automatically win match for Cricket

    Hey...
I've been working on a new table for the Cricket point table. First please download the attach file.

    A team refuse to play:

If a team refuse to play a game then opponent will automatically win the game.
For ex: If in sheet fixture "C20" refuse to play then I will type "WOL" in "D20" and "WOW" in "H20" instead of runs.
Here WOW=Walkover Winner and WOL=Walkover looser.

    Now I want these changes:
    * In "C7" and "C9" will count as another match they played.
    * In "D7" and "D9" will count if I type WOW or it will remain as it is.
    * In "E7" and "E9" will count if I type WOL or it will remain as it is.

    Sorry for my poor English.
    Thanks in advance.

I don't have the time to look at this in depth now since I have an appointment to go to.
I'll look later if nobody has given you an answer.
Just with a quick glance I would consider making an adjustment to the team names in either the points table or the fixture table so that they can be easily matched and you don't have to keep changing the formulas to include the names. Maybe just putting the unique names in a location not in the active file (like column O or maybe in column G but change the font to white so they aren't visible) then put that cell reference in the formula so you don't have to retype Dragon to MMC to Gumoti etc.

rcom, could you upload (or reupload) your workbook with the current columns in your results table AND additional columns with your expected results so we know what formula to create? That would be helpful.

I have re uploaded the file. Here"s what I want:

    Scenario - 1:

    A team refuse to play:

If a team refuse to play a game then opponent will automatically win the game.
For ex: If in sheet "Fixture" "C20" refuse to play then I will type "WOL" in "D20" and "WOW" in "H20" instead of runs.
Here WOW=Walkover Winner and WOL=Walkover looser.

Now I want these changes in Sheet "Points Table":
    * In "C7" and "C9" will count as another match they played.
    * In "D7" and "D9" will count if I type WOW or it will remain as it is.
    * In "E7" and "E9" will count if I type WOL or it will remain as it is.

    Scenario - 2:

If a match got abandoned for some reason then it will count as both team played but no result.
For ex: If I type "NR" in sheet "Fixture" "D21" and "H21" then it will count as both team played a match and it will count as no result in sheet "Points table" "F5" and "F10".

    Sorry for my poor English.
    Thanks in advance.

I think I got what you want, see workbook.
I just added a couple additional countifs to your countifs formula, added a countfis for the no results, my interpretation of what you wrote above is that W and L in columns D and E in the points table didn't need changing. Also in I4 I put in a list of the team names as they appear in your Fixture tab so you don't have to keep changing the formulas, just point to I4 and drag down. So they are not visible I color coded the font to white so they match the fill color and are not visible.

I kind of formatted the formula a little bit and it worked...

    Thanks a ton.
