Could some one show me how i can get all the 1 to 5 sheets to look at one list of tools so that i just need to update/ add to one list instead of one on each sheet.
Selecting a tool from the drop down in column B enters the value in column D from if values. but this is very cumbersome, is there a better way to achieve this please

Hi,
You could add a sheet with the table of tools. Create a named range for the list of tools and then reference that list in the validation selection. You might want to consider using VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH to return the vibration magnitude, rather than a huge list of IF statements. Let me know if you need further info.
