Saving my file as a web page?

    Hello,

I would like to be able to make an Excel file and store it on my desktop.

I would then save this file as a Web page by clicking on Save As and the the "Web Page" type and then click on "Publish".
I then check off the box :Auto republish every time this workbook is saved.
I also check off the box, "Open published page in browser"

    Then I click on "Publish"

The excel spread sheet opens in the internet browser....

But the macros don't work, so I click on my button and nothing happens

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

You are not going to be able to get your macros working online. It's not possible. Even the browser version of Excel does not support macros.

A button is just a trigger for a VBA process.

yes exactly, I have a butoon with some VBA code attached to it and when one clicks the button, the linked VBA code executes

But when I publish the file and I click on the button nothing happens ????

Yes - VBA will not work in a browser, only in a desktop Excel environment.

Re: Saving my file as a web page?

I have read that Excel 2016 has the interactivity box when we save as web page. So I don’t know if it’s a question of excel version or that any Functionality driven by VBA will simply not work on any version of excel!

Is there a way to generate the HTML of an excel file so I
Can load the excel functionality on my website?

    Thanks

Re: Saving my file as a web page?

Interactivity relates to the native workings of the Excel sheet, as far as I am aware.

There are apps that claim to be able to convert your VBA Excel sheet into a web app, but that's all I can suggest - sorry. Here is one such (probably a paid app - I haven't checked): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3WmgVCGEWI
