Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way to set the default indent - Alignment:Indent - to 2, for example. I realise that this can be done manually - not really eager to set the indent every time I need it.
Thank you for your time,
Shawn

Hi paradocs,
In the Excel VBA editor you can set the tab width to 2 instead of 4 using "Tools">"Options">"Tab Width". If you want to indent in a cell in Excel, I think you will need to do two spaces for text.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I should have specified - this is worksheet oriented. In the Home tab, Alignment:Indent for cells. Based on cell width and a test string, Indent pushes the string over three characters, which is too much. I was hoping there was a way to override the width.
Anyway, happy night,
Shawn
Hi paradocs,
If you select a cell and right on it and then on "Format Cells" and then on the "Alignment" Tab there is an "Indent" box that you can adjust this indent number. Then you can use the Format Painter to adjust all the cells you want with the same indent.
Sorry for the first answer, I didn't know what you meant.
Instead of right clicking on a cell you can also click on the small dropdown arrow to the right of the group name "Alignment" which will show the "Format Cells" dialog.
