Assign Merge Cells to mouse key ? (Shortcut)

Hi,

is it possible to assign the merge cells & center option to one of the additional mouse keys ?

I have a task where I have to use this option a lot and it would be faster if I didn't have to move my mouse all the way to the top options bar but instead just using a shortcut on my mouse.

I dont know about if it works on mouse but u can even use shortcut key by recording a macro in which u can do steps which u want in shortcut key to be done and then and then stop macro recording and assign it any key u like or easily accessible.
