grade analysis

Is something like this doable in excel?


if I enter Student1 as a grade 4, and then a few students later enter Student5 as a grade 4 too, can it request me to rank Student 5 as higher or lower than student 1 and then input a 1 and 2 in an additional column? The problem comes when i then enter student10 as a grade 4 and it asks higher or lower than student1 or student5?
