I feel like this question is very rudimentary however, I'm having trouble finding a good reference to what I'm looking for on google and YouTube.
I have a table that has approximately 30 columns of data and 250 rows of data, let's call this the master data sheet. I want to be able to tie the data on the master data sheet to subsequent sub-sheets but remove some of the columns to reflect different "views" essentially. But I want it so that when data is updated on the master data sheet it filters to the subsequent sheets no matter what columns are showing etc. Is this done by merely creating cell references? Is that the best way? I thought I could do this through pivot tables, but that wasn't working well... then I tried Lookup Tables and that didn't seem to do what I wanted.... please help.
My last question would be, once I get this set up correctly, can cells only be edited through the master data sheet, or is there a way to make it so that edits on the sub sheets transfer back to the master data sheet as well?
Thanks in advance.
