    1+PP1ED in Excel Formula

I've inherited a remarkably large spreadsheet that was prepared in 2005 and updated periodically since then. My organization wants to refresh it as an analytics tool.

I've been working my way through the cells to determine relationships and functions and stumbled across this formula:

    =(((I7*(1-J7))*(K7))+((I7*J7*L7))*(1+PP1ED))

The PP1ED is being used as a number and returns a specific cell reference (M7 for what is matters).

I don't know what PP1ED is though. If I type it into the formula bar, excel treats it almost like the autofill portions of a formula (like how one can double click on a formula and be guided through parameter selections). It looks like this: Capture.PNG

What is that? How do I work with it? Do I have to keep it in my sheet?

    Thanks!

Re: Has anyone ever seen this before? What is it?

It is probably necessary for you to upload your workbook or a sample of your workbook (sanitized for confidential information) in order for one of our members to analyze.

Sorry, the updated cell reference for my question after copying into a new work book is J3. J4 has a similar named cell reference.

Looks like this is a case of Named Ranges that are linked to other files. See my picture below.

    Perfect thanks!

How would I go about finding out which other files the named ranges are linked to? Would that be in the Data tab, existing connections?

Look at the Name Manager and see the links as shown in my picture in the Refers To column.
