Named range prompts no longer appearing in Excel 2010.

    Hello,

I have a number of named ranges in my workbook. In the past, when I begin typing a formula which refers to a predefined name, I would get a drop down list of names which might suffice. Suddenly this has stopped happening. I suspect it's a setting issue but I'm unsure.

Could anybody shine any light on this issue for me?

To explain further, assume I have two ranges defined as "range1" and "range2" in my book. In the past if I typed "sum(ra" I would get a dropdown list showing the existence of named ranges "range1" and "range2". This is massively helpful when you have several hundred named ranges in a workbook; this appears to have stopped happening completely and I'm at a loss as to why.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

    MASH.

    Are you actually typing
"sum(ra", or was that a typo

    typing
    =sum(ra

will show the range1..range2 names allowing you to select one.
