    Question Sorting Domain Data

    Good Morning -

I have a text file with a list of domains in the following format.

    domain.com
    the.domain.com
    a.new.domain.com
    this.is.a.longer.domain.net
    another.longer.name.for.a.domain.org

The list goes out to 9 sections. I have been able to import this into Excel using headers and delimiters. Is it possible for me to sort this data so that I can key in on the top level domain (com, net, org, etc) only even though the names vary in size (2 - 9). So basically I'd like to sort them so that I have a list or pivot table for all the .com, .net, .org top level domains.

    .com
    domain
    the.domain
    a.net.domain

    .net
    this.is.a.longer.domain

    .org
    another.longer.name.for.a.domain

Thank you for all your help!

Thanks! I'll give that a try. Sounds like I don't even need to delimit the fields using your technique.
