Pivot Table Question (show tasks in rows or columns according to time sequence)

Hi all! Hope you are all safe and sound!

I have a question about Pivot Table. I would like to create a pivot table to show the all tasks by column/row and the order is by time, but when I drag the tasks to column/row, only dates are shown, and the pivot table is meaningless in this way.

Wondering if there is any method to show Task A/B/C according to time sequence (or maybe to show the total number of Task A/B/C done by the person based on the dates) in the pivot table instead? Must I revise the content of the data table?
