Centre Across 2 cells with data in each

Hi,

I am trying to Centre Across 2 cells with data in each but the data in the right hand cell is hidden (="").

It is not working and only works if the right hand cell has no data.

Is there a work around for this or another approach i could take?

It is important that the 2 cells remain independent (not merged) as sometimes the data in the right hand cell will be visible and then they will just centre in there respective cells.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
What you're asking is not possible. You must understand that cell formatting does not change the cell's content.
A cell either has data or doesn't have data. Zo if you set the custom format to ;;; so hat is 'looks' empty, it's not.
