Struggling with a combo stacked bar chart with a horizontal line across it

I am trying to create a stacked bar chart that has a horizontal line going across it. I am working with just two value, 80 and 49.4. I want these two numbers stacked on top of the other, with a horizontal line going across the 80, indicating that the value above (49.4) indicated the amount the goal (80) was exceed by. This sounds, and likely is, very simple, but I am struggling in creating this graph. Pointers are very welcome, thanks!

Apologies, it doesn't have to be a bar, it may also be a column. The line I want going across it should be perpendicular to the graph, so if it is a column it should be a horizontal line, while vertical if it is a stacked bar.

There are many ways to do it. But it isn't clear to me what end result you are after. It would help, if you upload sample workbook with raw data. And hand drawn representation of type of graph you want.

If you can't... try following Peltier's article.

Re: Struggling with a combo stacked bar chart with a horizontal line across it

Unfortunately I have no idea how to attach a workbook. I have instead attached an image showing what my demo workbook looked like, with a drawing of what I'd like my graph to look like. I want my graph to look like what I have, but with a horizontal line cutting across it at the y value of 80. The closest I got was doing a combo graph, with the target series being a clustered bar or a line with points, with the point being edited into a rectangle. The clunky look of a big rectangle stretching across where the two values of my stacked column.

TL/DR: I want this graph in my image, but with a thin line going across it indicating that the target, 80, has been surpassed.

Image did not attach correctly. Note that you may need to use "Go Advanced" button to attach images.

From your description, Peltier's method should work for you.
