DATA > IMPORT TEXT / CSV will not split text into columns anymore?

We have another program that exports data into text files. I wrote a batch program to add semicolon delimeters in the appropriate places to split the text file when importing it into Excel. It worked for months. Now all the sudden when selecting any delimeter, Excel splits the delimeter with a newline rather than sending it to the next column? Was there an update that changed this and how can I fix it without using the text import wizard?

Correction. After having some time to look at it, i see now that its splitting correctly, but then only importing column 1 and the rest of the data just vanishes.
