    Question Calculate work performance/Efficiency

    Hello-
I'm trying to calculate --efficiency --

Created and closed work orders-- Since we've been working from home my boss what's to know how efficient we are in terms of closing work order. See Excel workbook attached. Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The goal is to show a bar chart that shows performance/ or proficiency (or you may suggest what chart would look better)

    Thanks a bunch

    Re: Calculate work performance/Efficiency

A simple bar chart of Backlog plotted against weeks will show a performance shortfall?

I have attached the file. You could, I suppose, get real fancy and calc $'s or whatever, but this is simple and will show how badly (or well) you are doing

No, I dont think a Pie will show what you want. Generally, a Pie shows an activity/value for 1 or more items, relative to all items.

So, even if you just show Backlog, it will just show, for each week, the relative size of each week's backlog, relative to all/total backlogs.

    Hello FDibbins,

Thanks for the feedback. I would like to show the percentage on a chart that will show efficiency (or KPI) created, closed and the backlog. or something that will tell my boss how efficient we are.

    Re: Calculate work performance/Efficiency

It seems to me that efficiency would be the percentage of backlog divided by the number of open orders (sum of created and previous weeks backlog).
Building on what FDibbins has already provided:
    1. Added a column for open using: =SUM(E2,B3)
    2. Added a column for % Backlog using: =E3/C3
    3. Added a chart with the % Backlog column as the data source.
Let us know if you have any questions.
