conditional formatting extends to TOTALS row

    Hi,

I have a table with "TOTAL" (summary) row at the end. I have applied conditional formatting to a column of a table.

When I extend the table by adding a new row at the bottom by clicking on "Insert Table Row below" on the "HOME" tab, the conditional formatting extends to the new row, which is proper.

When I extend the table by adding a new row at the bottom by pressing TAB, the conditional formatting for that column extends to "TOTAL" row, which I don't want. It should only extend only to the new row.

Why this anomaly? Is this a BUG?

Looiks like a bug, yes - you should raise it with Microsoft.
