    Conditional Formatting

I know some of conditional formatting. I just hope I can make my problem clear as I am not 100% sure on the terminology of some things.

I need to figure out a way to get the conditional formatting to work with a formula so I can get the entire row to format (In this case highlight an entire row with the "text begins with" option. if I do the text begins with it will do JUST that cell. is there a way that I can get a selected row to do that?

For example I want any row that have the word "Event" to be highlighted or changes in text color. I know how to do it with the exact text in the formula but not if it is partial the event NAMES will change like on the pic A vs X or Blackest night. if it says event I want it to follow the conditional formating

Select the entire row(s) before applying the CF formula.
