How do I copy a tab with array formulas to a new workbook and have them function?

    1. My employer has a large matrix coming out each day; it has to do with moving employees around due to Covid stuff.

    2. I made a chart that shows where an employe would rank throughout the company based on this 12,000 row matrix.
    3. It's got a load of array formulas to cross reference and pull stats on an employee.

    4. Is there a way to (each day) copy this tab to the new matrix document, or copy the new matrix document's tab to this workbook?

    5. The format of the matrix each day is exactly the same in terms of rows and columns. Only the numbers are different inside.

    6. If I copy the tab and move it to the end of the other workbook the cells retain reference to the original workbook.
    7. If I delete the original matrix I risk getting #ref all over creation in there.

As always, any guidance is appreciated.

Use point 6 above, then select the tab and run a Find and Replace on the bit of the formula that refers to the old workbook (replace with nothing).

I'm not sure I follow. Am I copying the array formula to the "find" search bar?

disregard, I think I see what you're meaning.

Yes, but the file reference will be the same, so select all cells on the tab before running the Find & Replace. It should bee one operation, not several.

    Yep.

    1. I took the file path that all the cells were looking for
    2. selected all 85 cells (approx that many)
    3. pasted the path into find, and left "replace" as blank.

it took a moment as there are a lot of changes, but it seems to have worked. I tweak a specific number to make it obvious a change took place.

Thanks for this. *big thumbs up*

It should have - I sometimes use it for sheet references.
