Why can't I see the Cursor in Excel

I'm talking about the little black box that appears anytime you put the mouse on a cell, or drag the mouse around a group of cells - mine doesn't show up. I can still edit the cell, but I have to guess about which cell I am on.

Does anyone know how to make my dear cursor reappear?

    Thanks

I had the same problem, but it was only happening on one workbook out of the many that I had open. I closed the workbook and reopened it and that solved the problem.

Hello, Click File>Options>Advanced>(in category of "Display options for this workbook") fill the check boxes named "Show Horizontal scroll bar" and "Show vertical scroll bar"

'Unfreeze panes' from the view tab and check. This problem should go away.
