    How to create the tables on the sheet "Dependant List" with Pivot Tables?

    Resource Data For Pivot Table is on the sheet Categories.

    No need to do that if Dependant List is what you need.

    Please try Data validation list on Exercises C2

    =OFFSET(Categories!$A$1,MATCH(B2,Categories!$B$2:$B$30,),,COUNTIF(Categories!$B$2:$B$30,B2))

    I know functions you used on that formula. I know how to use them.

    I don't understand what that formula does.

    Could you explain in details please?

    I'm trying to understand the example on the link you shared.

    On the sheet (1573)OFFSET(an) according to the cell K8 the formula on the range K11:K17 give us how many student get the grade 4 in a test group. (Test 1, Test2...)

    However on the cell K11 It returns 3. So Test1 has 3 students got the grade 4. But It hasn't. There is only 1 student who got the grade 4 in Test 1 (B11:B42)
