    Gantt chart + slicers

    Dear all,

I am creating a Gantt chart that automatically updates the timeline by adding a formula. However, this does not seem to work if I also want to add slicers to my work plan as before I have to convert it in a table and my formula does not work anymore. Are these two options possible? Any solution or alternative way to manage this? Thanks!

Hello Silvana1980 and Welcome to Excel Forum.
It may be easier for someone to access if it is possible if you could upload a sample of what you have so far.
Instructions for uploading are given in the banner at the top of the page.

    Re: Gantt chart + slicers

    Hello JeteMC,

Thanks a lot for your advice. I have attached the sample of Work Plan related to my question.
In short, I would like to have an automatically updated timeline in my Gantt Chart (like in tab Test 1) and at the same time to have the possibility
of adding slicers (like in tab Test 2). As I was mentioning before, It seems that both options are not possible because to have slicers, the work plan
needs to be a "table" (excel speaking). Any solution?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

    Silvana

    Re: Gantt chart + slicers

    Perhaps the following will help.
On the test 2 sheet, populate L12 with the date 5/1/2020
    Populate M12:CJ12 using: =SUM(L12,1)
Note that for aesthetic purposes L12:CJ12 may be hidden or the font set to white.
    Populate L14:CJ39 using: =IF(AND(L$12>=$H14,L$12<=$I14),$K14,"")
Use the conditional formatting rules for Pending and Completed as given on the Test 1 sheet.
Let us know if you have any questions.
