Shortcut to copy cells below in a column

I have a list of dates where I need to allocate who is on duty on those days.
I have started to put down the names of the persons who I want to start those shifts. (See attachment)
Then I want to fill in the blank cells by double clicking on the corner of the cells with the names so that it copies the name in the cells below it until it reaches the next name.
Is there a quick way to do this? If the list is several hundred rows long, this would be very time consuming.

Select all you data in column A. SO in the example it would be A1:A22.
Then go to Home Ribbon and chose "Find & Select". then select "Go to special..."
    Select "Blanks" and hit OK
then type = then press the up arrow key.
Now hit CTRL and ENTER together and it should fill in you data.
Finally just highlight column A and Copy and Paste as values to remove the formula.
