    Split strings into duplicate rows

The attached screenshot explains best what I need. What I have now are rows of customers and each customer might have multiple email addresses in one cell. I need to duplicate the customer rows for each email they have so that each row will only have one email per customer.

I know I can whip up some VBA code for this but I was wondering if there's a way to accomplish this without VBA. "Text to Columns" didn't work. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

    I would use PowerQuery.

Thank you. I never used power queries before so I will see if it will take longer to learn how to use them or to just code some VBA. (I attached an example excel file above.)

Re: Split strings into duplicate rows

The powerquey hepled me to easly split the last names from the first and middle names but since there are no spaces or delimiters in between the email addresses, I can't get the powerquery to split them. How do I use an ENTER (new line) to be a delimiter?

Ok, I found it. But it doesn't do anything.

Re: Split strings into duplicate rows

Solved it. Needed to choose line feed.

Re: Split strings into duplicate rows

That's correct - split to row using line feed.

If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.
