stop auto scrolling to active cell when window is inactive/active

Hi forum users.

i think i misclicked some shoftcut earlier and messed up the view of excel.

so this is what happen or to reproduce the issue, say i open an excel, i click on cell A1, then scroll to the right to view other items (without changing the active cell). and click on another window or application.

the moment i go back to excel it auto jumps back to the active cell "A1" no matter how far i scroll to the right or bottom.

is there a way to disable this as i really annoying it when i need to look/compare different things at the same time..

Press Alt+F11 to open the VBA editor.
Click on the drop down buttons next to your workbook name if it is not already open then double click on "ThisWorkbook".
Now there should be "code" in the big frame on the right.

Could be that your workbook uses other code in there, but the culprit should look something like :

Copy all of the code on that window and reply here with that. Remember to use code tags when pasting it. Then someone can have a look at it for you.

A simpler solution would just be to attach your workbook here. Remember to remove any sensitive information from your workbook before hand.

I looked at the VBA Editor, there is nothing on sheet or workbook...

i wonder if it was some Excel settings... i'm using 365 so it might have been of the updates messed up.
