Creating my excel template for forex derivatives trading

Good day everyone.

I am looking to create a template for my forex derivatives trading and I am seeking your kind attention and expertise and help on this.

Right now, I am using a single excel sheet to journalize each of my trades and as there are different forex derivative products, I have created a few templates in a second excel sheet that has the formulas in each row to tabulate the numbers that I need, such as my profits etc.

For example, when I trade "product A" today, I will copy "product A's" template from the second worksheet into the main worksheet and fill in the necessary details.

However I dont think this is the most efficient way to do things, considering I am trading 6 different forex products and I have often copied the wrong template into my main excel sheet journal.

I have tried to search for templates by other excel power users that are trading Forex. However their template is far too simple as they often only do simple forex spot trading. Basically my current excel sheet calculations require up to column "AF" hence it is slightly more complicated.

Hence seeking the pros on this forum if they can provide any ideas on how I can streamline this process.

I have leveraged a few other peoples work and created a floating navigation bar(by ORoos on this form) with buttons to create a new spreadsheet from a template. For this to work, you'll need to rename the sheet name to the templates and assign the range within each sheet. Without a working model providing an example is all I can do. I hope this helps. You can access the creation / navigation bar use CTRL-SHIFT_N
