    password protecting tabs

I was up last last night with an excel spread sheet with alot of tabs for my job. Let's say 20~30. I setup each one to allow outside users to enter in information to the unlocked cells. My gripe was having to password protect each sheet one by one for 20~30 times. I see there is the protect WORKBOOK option but it suggest moving, deleting, and adding sheets and not focusing on my locked cells in each sheet. Maybe you can use Protect workbook to solve my problem. If not is there a better way than submitting a password for each tab which is tedious work that people out there love to remove from people like my lives on the daily basis

    Cheers.

password is the password. Thanks Logit I'm loving it. One stop shop and then unprotect as I go along. Best part is also I can copy the Password protected sheets to new sheets and maintain the protection as such.

Because we're on topic and extra credit is it even possible to reverse it all with one typical Password request box comes Up and takes care of un-protecting all the tabs back to square one?
after I will close this thread out!!!!

I did but still want that password protection. Simple ones do not hence anyone can unprotect it. I'll wrap this up soon but thanks still.

    .
If you want to be the only one who can activate / deactivate the password .... password one sheet with a unique password from all the rest.
Then in the sheet you can have buttons that protect or unprotect the workbook.

There are also working samples on the Forum and the internet where you click a single button on the OPENING sheet. That brings up an
INPUT BOX where you enter a password. That password can unprotect all the sheets desired. You can create a separate button on the
OPENING sheet that brings up an INPUT box that asks for a password to protect all the sheets.
