    How Did They Do This?

I have a colleague that sent me a spreadsheet with some microbiology data. Nothing special until I noted that the Column headers were in the Greek Alphabet not in the standard English Alphabet. When I asked how this was done, they said they did not know and would like to get rid of it but cannot figure out how. Any ideas?

One possibility is to enter the A, B, C Greek letters etc in the first row. Numbering in the first column down.
Format to imitate the gray headings.
Freeze panes so top row and first column are frozen.
Under View in the top ribbon > Show, un-tick 'Headings'.
It looks now as this are the natural headings whereas the defaults are simply hidden.

Likely that's done by using Cell Styles.

Cell headings are set by "Normal" Style. This usually defaults to 'Calibri (Body)' font. This was likely modified to use some other font. Likely "Symbol".

So, as I suspected. It's Cell Styles.

Using Home ribbon tab ->Styles -> Cell Styles

Right click on Top left (Normal), and hit Modify.

Then hit "Format" and change Font from 'Symbol' to 'Caribri (Body)'
