    Beginner Conditional Formatting Question

    HI Forum,

I am able to use conditional formatting to fill a cell with a certain color (green) if its value is greater than another cell, and fill it red if its value is less than that cell. But I am having a hard time copying these rules to other relative cells. For example if B1 is greater than A1, it fills green. If B1 is less than A1, it fills red.

What do I do so these same rules apply to B2/A2, B3/A3, etc?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Beginner Conditional Formatting Question

Hi, it didn't seem to work. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong? I have attached a screenshot of the conditional rules, perhaps if you or anyone who sees this has a moment you can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!

Trying again to attach file. Sorry. I am terrible with computers but trying to learn.

I am trying to get the values in column N to either turn red or green depending on if the value is lower or higher than the value in the adjacent cell. The values in N will be updating regularly so I'd like the color to change accordingly. Thank you!
