    Excel Mental Block

    Hello All -

I am having a mental block on something and need your assistance, although it is simple.

I am attempting to calculate the numbers of times something appears based on two criteria - name and date.

Using the sumifs formula, but it is not working.

I am having difficulty pulling out exactly what to do.

The sheet that is reporting the data is on a different tab than the raw data.

Would someone be so kind as to give me an idea on the formula should look or if there is a better way to do it, give me an example formula to work on.

    Thanks all.
    Dave

    Instead of Sumifs, maybe Countifs?
