Convert text numbers to numbers

I can no longer just right click on a text numberered cell to convert it to number in my Excel 2019/W10 Pro.

I used to be able to do so up to when i upgraded from W10 Home to W10 pro, so this is odd.

My cells no longer have the little green corner warning triangle either.

I've checked my Excel options, and they are still there to supposedly flag up such a problem.

I've exhausted all the usual ways to do this conversion, without success.

I'd appreciate help.

OK. I've found the Data option Text to Columns option, and this does the trick, albeit more awkwardly than the previously available mouse right-click.

Select Column A

Press Alt A E or ribbon Data > Text to columns
Click finish

Wake them up by:
Copy any blank cell (point to a blank cell then Ctrl-C)
Highlight column A
Paste special/ Operation: Add
OK

Like we try to add 0 to every cell in range to convert string into number
