sorting value following the column that i want

hi. sorry if my title is confusing as english is not my first language and i don't know how to word it.
so my question is, i got data in excel that i want to sort following the master column. here is the example

    master column :
    Rohan Stark
    Esa Daly
    Sophia Kenny
    Dillon Clayton
    Ted Dillard
    Lillie-Mae Lawson
    Dollie Ventura
    Priyanka Kirkpatrick
    Mandy Cabrera
    Jacques Vang

    child column :
    Esa Daly
    Lillie-Mae Lawson
    Dillon Clayton
    Jacques Vang
    Priyanka Kirkpatrick
    Rohan Stark
    Mandy Cabrera
    Ted Dillard
    Sophia Kenny
    Dollie Ventura

i want to sort the child column following the order from master column. is that possible? (there is a thousand data so i can't really match them manually)

Hi - do you mean a dependent list?
Example: if I selected Rohan Stark in my master column, then I can only choose Esa Daly or Lille-Mae Lawson in the child column?

If not, can you post a small file example of what you are looking for?

    Hi.

You will need to user a helper column.

If your Child Column Starts in C2

Enter this formula in E2 =MATCH(C2,$A$1:$A$11,0)

    Sort C2 : E11 by Column E.
