Bring data into Excel from a Website to be turned into a Dashboard

Hi Everyone

There is a website that my client uses to extract data, they select a customer and date range (the data updates every 5 minutes) - this website then sends it to Excel as a CSV. This data is then analyzed using slicers, charts etc.

However the client doesn't want to have to pull a report from the Website - they want Excel to pull it and keep it updated all the time.

I was thinking that PowerPivot would be the answer but I don't know how to get the website to pull the customer and date and refresh in Excel without physically doing it in the traditional way.

Any suggestions please?

Im guessing a Macro is the way to go forward.

Excel cant execute itself, to go execute, so it requires help for that.

Ive never used a macro or script, so i cant actually help you out.

Thanks, I was hoping with all the query options in Excel it could be done automatically.
