Get data with latest date only

My data is below in excel
I need that there are three are three articles of shoes with different prices along with transaction date, i need these three articles with latest price with latest transaction date . I need result also mentioned in second table

you need to provide more information.
Do you always know the item ID?
Are there always 3 items?
Is the list always sorted item, then date?

why not attach a sample file as per the banner to save people having to retype your data?

I agree with davsth's suggestion about attaching a file however I didn't mind producing a file this time as the data could be copy and pasted (with a little help from the text to columns).
Assuming that the price will increase then a pivot table will yield the results listed in post #1.
Item ID in the Rows area.
New Price and Transaction date in the Values to area both summarized as Max.

Since there has been no reply it is hard to say, but I am not convinced about the max of new price. In the file shoe 3 on the 1st of mar shows 2 values and the last value is smaller than the previous value.


All be it that the current last values are the largest so it may be ok. there is no criteria to get the latest value if dates are tied, unless it is the value nearest th bottom of the list.

All we can do is guess Jete!
