    Conditional Formatting weekends and holidays

    Hi All,

I am having an issue with the gantt chart adding the weekends and holidays.

On the first image (without any weekends or holidays) everything is working fine. Once I add the conditional formatting to highlight the weekends and holidays, it overlay the cells. Below is my formulas for:

    Weekends: =OR(WEEKDAY(M$8,2)=6,WEEKDAY(M$8,2)=7)
    Holidays: =OR(M$8=Holidays)

I would like for the legend options to be visible if a task runs during the weekend

You probably just need to change the order of your conditional formatting rules, but there is not enough information in your post to confirm that.

An image attachment has limited value. Just attach the Excel file. It's easier than taking a screenshot first and then attaching that. A file is worth a thousand words. Having your file allows us to see and experiment with your data, layout, formulas, code, and possibly attach a file with a completed solution.

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

    Hi,

Please see attached workbook, with 2 tabs (one without weekends and holidays and the other without)

I have used a combination with conditional formatting and Name Manager

I think I might be overthinking a situation at times, haha. The change of order worked perfectly. Thank you!
