Power Query , extract LIST and RECORDS from same query

New to Power Query, and trying to figure out how to get at both the LIST items and RECORD structures of this JSON file at the same time.

I know how to get any one of the record types and output to a table, but can't grasp how to get them together. Doing separate queries seems the wrong approach.

So, how to get at both the LIST and the RECORD data at the same time , in the same query?

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Well, I thought I was giving enough info to be understood by posting an actual screenshot of the PQ Sources screen , and what it sees a the contents of the JSON file

I figured anyone familiar with PQ and JSON would understand the question without needing actual data.

Basically , asking how to send multiple JSON data types to a table(s) using a single query .

I remembered that if I wait for an answer I'll wait a very long time.

This wasnt a really hard question. Found the answer on my own , as Ive done for the last 35 years

    Thanks for asking.

Still polishing it up, but basically you need to use the append or merge feature to combine two distinct queries into one table

Wanted to do it all within one query to avoid going out to the same URL twice to get the same exacta data . Not sure how to do that .

OK - please provide a sample workbook. If you are not prepared to do so, then I think you are seriously limiting the help you'll get here and then, yes, you will be waiting a long time (and sarcastic comments like that don't help, by the way). The ball is in your court.
