I want to sum specific text within cells.
Some cells include "Comfort Pipe Plus" and others "Comfort Pipe".
With the wildcard "*Comfort Pipe*"also Comfort Pipe Plus is being included.

Yes but as you did not provide an expected result or say you wished to exclude these it is not surprising as comfort pipe plus does contain comfort pipe!
Try
=SUMIFS($D$4:$D$17, $C$4:$C$17,"*comfort pipe*", $C$4:$C$17,"<>*comfort pipe plus*")
if comfort is always the first word the below works you do not need the * at the beginning
=SUMIFS($D$4:$D$17, $C$4:$C$17,"comfort pipe*", $C$4:$C$17,"<>comfort pipe plus*")
