How to produce dynamic results on monthly P & L sheet?

I currently use a standard monthly profit & loss report which gives the monthly totals and cumulative totals as the year progresses.

I would like to know if there is any way to dynamically produce the monthly variance in column AF below, as the year progresses and each month's figures are added? (The intervening months are hidden for clarity.)

The sheet normally has the 'budget' figures inserted for all months at the year commencement, and actuals are inserted monthly:

In the attached copy of the file the data has been transposed (as it is easier to work with row over row data sets), the merged date cells have been unmerged and blanks filled and the range has been converted to a table so that the formulas will update as more data is added.
