Need to link HYPERLINK function to a button to auto generate emails

Hello and thank you in advance,

I am using Office 2013 and I have this formula to generate emails:

    =HYPERLINK("mailto:"&C4&"?subject="&B3&" - awb -"&"&cc="&C5,"Create email")

It works fine but I'd like to add it to a button and it's not working. I want to be able to click on a button and have it run the formula and create the email. How do I do this?

    Thanks again

you can't run a formula from a button i don't think. because you technically have to click on the link that results from the hyperlink function. although you CAN write code behind a button and follow any hyperlink in any given cell on any sheet. see here:

    Thank you Adam,

I don't see how the link resolves the issue. I see nothing about generating emails. I'm not a programmer but the first VB section appears to look for the word Microsoft in some links. I'm not sure why that is meaningful. I'm not sure how the second piece helps either. Perhaps I insert my hyperlink formula above in the cell in question?

Re: Need to link HYPERLINK function to a button to auto generate emails

ummm...it IS relevant. I was pointing out the following from the page:
    PHP Code:
    For Each h in Worksheets(1).Hyperlinks

    If Instr(h.Name"Microsoft") <> 0 Then h.Follow
    Next
you see....whenever you click on a link that is preceeded with mailto:, which yours obviously is, windows, by default, opens the mail client you have specified to use for sending mail. the same rule applies to all programs that can have email clients run from inside of them: firefox, chrome, IE, edge, macintosh computers, etc, etc....
