transfer data based on colour, CellColourAdjacent

Recently, I was browsing the forum. I encountered a post that wanted to transfer adjacent data based on it's colour. I tried it and it worked, "IF(CellColourAdjacent=6,$L2,0)". The colour was not meant to transfer, just the data. I have since tried it in another workbook and it does not work. I searched the forum and Googled it, but to no avail. Has anyone encountered this before? If I could find the post, there are comments that I would like to follow up on.

the workbook you posted has two named formulas:

• CellColour =GET.CELL(63,INDIRECT("rc",FALSE))
• CellColourAdjacent =GET.CELL(63,INDIRECT("rc[-1]",FALSE))

Did you create copies in the new workbook?

Ben, thank you for clearing up the mystery. Although my memory is spotty, I did not add those formulas myself. Oh well, mystery solved and the job is getting done.
