How to highlight changes in prices?

    Hi all,

I am looking to enhance my worksheet so that once I update the pricing from our suppliers and update the links on the final spreadsheet that we use to update our website, I can easily see whether a price has increased or decreased, and by how much.

so for ease of understanding, cell C2 ='[Top Deals 2019 auto poulate test.xlsx]4y Cars 3SPR'!$C2

When Top Deals 2019 auto poulate test.xlsx is updated with new pricing, cell C2 will have a new value when the links are updated.

I would like a formula/function that will show me the change in value of C2, eg +10 or -8, etc. But I would extend this to the whole spreadsheet

    Thanks,
    Connor

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

Please update your profile - your Office version is 365 (as in days of the year), not 360 (degrees in a circle).

    Hi,

Apologies, I have tried uploading the file but it is too large, this is after I have removed several thousand rows to leave only 10,

any ideas on how to upload the file?

Copy the 10 rows to a new workbook and upload that - you must have file bloat!

I have uploaded the copy and pasted values

The values are linked to several other spreadsheets, so once the others are amended and the links updated the values adjust accordingly... I need to know quickly how much the value has changed, eg +10/-10 etc if that is possible?

I am confused. Each vehicle type only occurs once. So... there are no updates in the price??!!

    Am I missing something important?
