Excel freezes when trying to unhide rows

upload the file. did you GROUP the rows by accident/ how did you hide them to begin with?

xl will freeze for sure if the task is too large, but it doesn't mean that it's dead. you might as well wait 5 minutes and see if it actually unhides the stuff. it's possible that it will and stop processing.

I did hide the rows on purpose when I first created the file, but I realize now that it was not a good idea unfortunately.

I'll give a try letting Excel run for a bit, but I feel like at some point, it just crashes and stop doing any work.

strip the info out of it. that's simple. highlight all, PRESS DELETE.

As an update, I found what seemed to create the issue for me. The sheets that usually froze all had active filters (from some tables in the sheet). By deactivating filters and then defining a Row Height to the hidden rows, everything started to appear as intended in a couple of seconds and I was then able to remove the extra rows.
