Question =TODAY function automatic update to yesterday

    Hello,

I'm quite new to Excell and am struggling a bit with the =TODAY function.
For a function where I check progress over the last week/month/etc. I need to use the =TODAY function. However, the cells where I used =TODAY yesterday, still show the date of today. This because of it automatically updating probably. Is it possible to use a formula so that when I open my sheet tomorrow, today's date won't change to that of tomorrow?

    For example:
    - Yesterday I used =TODAY() to get 10/01/2021 as the shown date
    - Today I open my sheet and it shows me 11/01/2021
    - I need the sheet to automatically update to the day before and so on. So if I open it today it still shows me 10/01 and so on

    Thanks!
    Thomas

If you use macros or VBA, you could freeze dates. However, if you're new to Excel, that may be too complex.

You could enter the current date as a constant in cells using the keystroke combination [Ctrl]+;, that is, hold down a [Ctrl] key and press ;.

Thank you for the quick reply! I will try this feature. I suppose this will not work for the overall performance table anymore then? The formula I am using now to see performance of yesterday is this one I found on the internet: =AANTAL.ALS('Performance'!$C$9:$C$1005;VANDAAG()-1). The one to see performance for the last week is: =AANTAL.ALS('Performance'!$C$9:$C$1005;">" & VANDAAG()-7)

The thought was that if I enter new data tomorrow, I could see a summary of my data of today in the 'yesterday'-column.

Do you need date entries or a date off of which to select other cells?
