    Merging two sheets

    Hi,
quite the beginner to excel but usually i can normally manage to get something to work by going through all the functions in excel.

but this is something i have no idea how to do it or even if it can be done so i would like some help if possible.

i have uploaded my worksheet. there are 3 tabs. standard , non standard and print.

currently we use both the standard sheet and non standard sheet to run our process. the operator would print the standard sheet out and then the non standard sheet and staple all the sheets together. its quite cumbersome to be following standard sheet and then when you have a non standard step to turn to that step on the non standard sheet.

i know i could copy and paste all the steps from each sheet to make 1 nicely flowing sheet but this would take a long time to do.

so i am wondering if there is an easy way to merge both sheets together with some kind of function or a nice formula.

i would like the sheet to somehow check the standard sheet and copy over all the steps in it until it finds a blank step and then when it finds a blank step to check the non standard sheet and copy over the information from that sheet until it finds another blank and then to go back to the standard sheet until it reaches the end of both sheets merging both sheets together with no gaps.

    is this possible

    thanks

    maestro

Beginner? You’ve been a member here since 2007, so that’s a loooooong beginning!!!

Which version of Excel are you using? Please add this to your forum user profile, as it may inform a solution offered.

Copy standard to Print to get cell format

    Then try at Print A1

    =IF(standard!A1="",'non standard'!A1,standard!A1)
