    Angry Show Case Cell in Active Row during Meeting

    I am on a call during the day where we are going over hundreds of sites. Each on it's own line item. I want something like an "On Deck" function where if the active row is 4, in cell A1 it is returning Cell A4. I need to be able to do it without VBA as it it shared. In essence, I want the 20+ people on the meeting to know the site we are talking about (aka the site at the beginning of the row currently being edited). Can't find this anywhere. 2 people are editing via shared. The rest are viewing via teams share.

    Welcome to the forum.

    I donít quite see the issue: when you work on a shared file, assuming you are using SharePoint, you can see cells that other users are on highlighted.

    Please clarify in your user profile which newest version of Excel you are using - there are at least two!

    And your response to my post is?

    2012 is not the newest version. Do you have Excel 2019 or Excel 365? Iím guessing the latter.

    OK - I looked at your attachment.

    You could have a cell near the top return the information you want, but not in the way you want. On selection events are controlled via VBA, and you say that is not an option, and indeed it wonít be if youíre working in a browser environment.

    The only way you would be able to do something like this would be for the meeting leader to trigger something on the row - maybe by typing Y in the cell on the extreme left of the row that would trigger the message at the top - but heíd have to remove the flag again afterwards.

    Just seen your comment about Teams. Right, so two people have the workbook open and one of them is sharing their screen with the rest of the meeting - is that it? If so, I canít see why there would be any need for what you are proposing, since one of the two with access to the workbook could scroll to and select the row in question to highlight it. Are you perhaps overthinking this or am I not picturing your set up correctly? When I share workbooks via screen sharing on Teams with my department, they have no problem knowing where we are.
