I have a tendancy to use the quick sum ability on excel (when you highlight a bunch of cells or ctrl click cells it gives the values in the bottom right).
In many cases when I receive a file it has hidden columns/rows within it, and if i highlight a specific row, the quick sum gives me the result of all the cells including the hidden ones. I remember once receiving a file where even if I highlight a bunch of cells, it only sums the visible cells (so I know the functionality exists), but I have no idea how to set it on/off to consider hidden rows when highlighting a bunch of cells. I would really appreciate any expertise on the matter. Thanks a bunch!!
