Probably a simple question that has already been asked. When I scan a qr code (usb or mobile phone) excel should highlighted the corresponding cell (customer number)

Administrative Note:
Welcome to the forum.
We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.
Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).
Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.
(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new, I have done it for you today.)

Probably. Did you search the forum?Probably a simple question that has already been asked.
It has been asked, yes, but I'm not clear what the envisaged workflow is: how would it be scanned and how would that data then be entered into the workbook? Or are you anticipating something else?
My apologies but this was my first post on the forum. I actually wanted to ask: I have an auction house and after an auction, customers have to pay within 7 days. These payments are kept in an Excel list. The first column of this list is their buyers number. If a customer shows a confirmation email (printed or on their phones) with a QR code (QR code = customer number) when they come to collect their goods, I want to scan this QR which should highlight the customer number in the Excel payment list, so that we can immediately can see if that person has paid. In concrete terms, after a scan (possibly via a filter system) 1 cell should display the buyer number on the paylist in the first column. So the scan not adds info to the sheet but only track info.
